Meet Deb
Holland, Michigan Therapist for anxious or overwhelmed women
I believe in you. I believe we were created to live a life of joy and wholeness through grace. I offer a comfortable and safe space for you to be authentic and vulnerable, to share your burdens and longings as we work together to become a more whole and healed person.
I have had the privilege of working in a variety of professional settings that provided me with experiences and relationships that have shaped me. These include:
Family preservation and DHS
Domestic Violence shelter
Adoption home studies
Post-Adoption and Kinship care support
Hospice and end of life care
Ministry / Christian church
Therapy with post-partum depression, anxiety, burnout, grief and loss, trauma and attachment, coping skills, life transitions, adolescents, parent support, and couples counseling just to name a few.
After earning a BSW from Dordt University in small town Iowa in 2004 and a MSW from Grand Valley State University, I practiced as a licensed master social worker at Bethany Christian Services in Holland, Michigan. In 2014 I took a break from the profession as I tended to the needs of my family in the home and began to provide counseling again in 2023. I currently hold a LLMSW in the state of Michigan.
I am so grateful to be wife to Eric and mom to my 4 kids (who are quickly growing into young adults). In addition to spending time in relationship with family and friends and walking our dog, I enjoy chauffeuring and cheering my kids on at their various extra-curriculars as well as being productive in the kitchen making sourdough or freezer meals. Once in a while you might even find me on a pickleball court practicing my third-shot drops or playing various Broadway songs on the piano.
